I am 2 weeks post knee replacement surgery.  There is pain - yes, and meds to help, they make you sleepy; and there is lots of time for reflection, between physical therapy sessions. This photo is of an ad I placed during Paducah Quilt Week 2013. The quilt “Paducah or Bust” was in that show; and is the one I was demonstrating building on in the Des Moines Quilt Week in 2012.

AQS filmed me building this quilt.  My original 1985 design was for a stained glass window that I made for the “River Queen” Restaurant in Batesville, AR. That restaurant burned several years later, but I understand that the window survived, but I don’t know where is is.

For the quilt, I filled the riverboat with quilters and I gave my design a springtime theme as dogwoods are blooming in Paducah during their show.
