Even with bias binding it was a challenge to bind this irregular edge. In one direction it was easy - the opposite or inside angle was tricky.  I finally just cut the bias binding and manipulated it all by hand. It was very bulky as well - so after the sewing was done, I steamed it and beat it down to be flat. It is a good idea to steam your quilts anyway to help bring it into square and the pounding the binding received  worked out very nicely. It is good feeling to have this quilt finished and ready to be turned in on time for the Asheville (NC) Quilt Show.  I will be giving a free demo on Saturday, September 27th morning at 10 AM.
