A Sealing iron is what that I use to build my quilt tops.


It maintains a constant heat; I use almost the hottest setting. It comes with a metal stand in the box. I suggest that you make yourself the perfect iron stand with a 4 x 6 inch x 3/4 inch thick block of wood and attach the metal stand with one 3/4 inch screw. This way you protect your hands; to pick it up and move it around while building your quilt top.   Start the hole with a hammer and nail; then screw down tight.
